Raven is the new kid on the houseplant block having only been launched in the summer of 2017. He's closely related to Cassie in nature however his striking black foliage sets him apart from the rest and will be sure to make an impact in your space. Raven is also exceptionally low-maintenance - what's not to love?
Estimated height (including pot): 50-60cm.
Raven shouldn't grow beyond 80cm in her current pot.
Like many indoor plants, he can improve the quality of air in an indoor space. But unlike others, he can also improve human health in these spaces, as it's recently been found that he can remove carcinogens, such as Benzene, that are often found in a home.
Like his sister, Raven is pretty easy-going, being able to tolerate the occasional drought an even quite deep shade.
Keep him away from direct mid-summer sun and be careful not to overwater him.
LOOKING AFTER THIS PLANT
Zamioculcas are very easy to maintain - give them a good soak once every 15 days approximately in the spring and summer and let her dry out in the autumn and winter. How often you should water Raven, will always depend on the conditions of your home. Always make sure the first 2 inches of soil are dry before watering. This can take up to a month during the winter time. Apply a balanced liquid feed 3 times a year, during the summer months when you'll most likely see new growth.
